From troops and their families that received a Real Christmas Tree through the Trees for Troops Program in
Thank you, thank you, thank you! The trees you sent to us were fantastic!!!
It was a huge blessing to pass the trees out to the Seabees here in Rota.
We tried to forward some to Africa but it didn't work out. I pushed out on a DET Swing shortly after the trees arrived, so I am sorry that you haven't heard from me before this as I am just getting settled. A few of the comments I heard before leaving "I've never had a real tree before"
"They are artificial right? (wrong!)" "Amazing, where did they come from?"
Trees for Troops is an amazing organization to do this. How well the trees were packed, the ornaments and notes enclosed, it was all sooo "awesomingly" beautiful :) I am scouring the camp for more photos. I have enclosed one that was taken at dusk, part of a center of the camp display that was inspired by the trees you all sent us. Again, thank you so much and when I find more photos I will pass them on to you. It is folks like Trees for Troops and the tree farm in Indianapolis that helps us remember what a great nation and a great people we get to serve through the U.S. Navy. The trees were a huge hit and a monster morale boost!
May you and your staff have a wonderful new year in 2012.
Peace and blessings,

My name is Chief John Iglodi with the U.S. Navy and I'm stationed in Williamsburg, Va. I recently received one of the beautiful trees at the Ft Eustis Army base. I wanted to say thank you very much, it is a wonderful and heartfelt gesture that outstanding Americans from around our great nation donate to this program and that FedEx delivers to bases all around the USA. We are very grateful for all involved that make this possible.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!!

Thanks for the tree!
Thank you to all the hard dedicated contributors and sponsors that help with Trees for Troops. My husband is deployed this Christmas but that did not stop me from putting a Christmas tree up. I was able to receive a beautiful Christmas tree through this program and with my husband away it brought more Christmas cheer to our house. Enclosed is a picture of the tree and I thank you again for it.

On behalf of my family & myself we would like to say thank you for our tree. It is a tradition in our family to have a real tree. We received our tree prior to my husband returning from Iraq. We have a few special ornaments we always hang as a family & were so thankful to have him return prior to Christmas to be able to hang on our tree. Thank you again for supporting not only our family but all military families.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
Thank you for the Christmas tree! This year, my husband (pictured) and I celebrated our first Christmas together as newlyweds. John waited in line for hours at Scott Air Force Base and received one of the last trees on the lot. When he brought it home, we decorated with the ornaments we had and added the ornaments that a local Girl Scout troop gave John on base. This was each of our first Christmas tree. It is such a blessing to celebrate together this year since John was deployed in Iraq last Christmas. Thank you for adding to the blessing.
I have just returned from Hunter Army Air Base in Savannah, Ga. where I picked up a tree for my son and his family (I have the truck). A beautiful fir that reminds us of our trees back home in New England and some very memorable Christmases.
My son is Ssgt Black. He has been in the Army 15 years and has, I think, eight combat tours. He was in Bosnia, Tunisia, Kuwait, 3 times to Iraq and once to Afghanistan and may deploy back to Afghanistan next month when he transfers to Fairbanks, Ak. The unit he is transferring to is already deployed there and he may have to catch up to them.
The tree is a beaut and I have it in the stand and the lines cut. It smells great and I'm waiting for him to bring his wife and the 3 girls, Calista 11, Alisa 9 and Burgandy 5, home.
I'm alone, sitting here smelling the tree and thinking of the Christmases we had with Nathan and his brothers. They're all grown up now and spread around the Country but the memories are fresh and this will be my first Christmas with all the girls and my son in one place due to his deployments and past duty stations.
For me you get my heartfelt thank you. For the girls? It's going to be crazy here shortly and we have you to thank for that.
God bless all of you from me and my family and have a very merry Christmas.
Trees for the Troops,
I would like to everyone who made trees for the troops happen. Our Christmas tree was donated from the deli staff at the Boston Culinary Center Plate Steamship Authority from Cape Cod, MA.
This year has been financial trying and we considered not having a Christmas tree at all. It's been a rough year being stationed in a new place away from friends and family. However, this Christmas tree donation allowed my husband and I to spend some quality time together decorating it and brought some much needed Christmas cheer to our home.
Your thoughtful and generous donation has made Christmas in our home joyful this season. We very much appreciate this gift, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Thanks for our Christmas tree! We are so thankful to have one this year!
Thank you for the beautiful tree. It made all the difference in the Christmas photos and brought holiday cheer to the HHT 1-108th Christmas party. Thanks for all you do for the troops and their families.
Thank you for our beautiful Christmas tree. Happy Holidays from our family to yours.
Thank you! Thank You! Thank you! For our beautiful Christmas tree! We threw away our 15 year old artificial tree, that I have to say traveled from Japan, to Turkey, to Missouri and then to Alaska with us, last year. We weren't sure what we were going to do this year since we pcsed to New Mexico in July. Trees for Troops was an answer to prayer! It is a blessing to have such a beautiful tree for our new home. It's been 15 years since we've had a real tree from the Blue Ridge Mountains. We love it!

Just wanted to thank you for the wonderful Christmas tree. This is my first real Christmas tree and I really appreciate it since our fake Christmas tree fell apart this year. I hope you have a Merry Christmas.

Trees For Troops,
I would like to thank you for the wonderful gift we receive every year through this amazing program, a free Christmas tree donated by generous families, such as the Lacher family, FedEx, and the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation. My husband is a Corporal in the Marine Corps. We have been married for three and a half years and are stationed in Barstow, California. We have a seventeen month old daughter and are SO excited for her to open all of her Christmas gifts this year. We are extremely grateful to have a beautiful Christmas tree to place those presents under. Thank you for all the love, support, and donations to every and all forms of military personnel. Cheers to a very joyful, blessed holiday season!
Greetings Trees For Troops, and in particular Maris G. from Gables Elementary in Michigan (who wrote on the card that came with our tree)!! We thank you all for your kindness and generosity. The tree we picked out is PERFECT for our home and we love it very much. My wife, son and I spent hours preparing and decorating it for Christmas and it looks (and smells) BEAUTIFUL!! I've attached a couple of pictures for you to see.
I thank you again for helping make our Christmas a lot brighter! May this be the greatest Christmas ever with hopes of renewed peace throughout the world! God Bless ALL of you!!

Our beautiful tree was provided by Bel Christmas Tree Farm in Salina, KS. My family wants to thank you for providing such a wonderful gift. You and this wonderful organization have made our Christmas a little brighter. Thank you so much!
My husband just arrived from work like he always does around 5pm, but today he had a big smile on his face. Behind him came my son Nicholas carrying a 6 foot Christmas tree. I am compelled to write an e-mail in order to thank the organization "Tree For Troops" for giving my family and I the gift of a Christmas Tree.
I've been feeling under the weather for days, but I am grateful for the thought. I feel better now and more enthusiastic to decorate for Christmas. Thank you for the joy and Merry Christmas!
P.S. Special thank you to Trenton L., from Gobles, MI for the note that came along with the tree.

Thank you so much for my wonderful tree!
I went to Luke Air Force Base with my son, Conrad, this morning to pick up a Christmas tree. He is stationed at Luke. Just as we were adding the lights, two F 16s flew overhead. I live about 15 miles from base and it's rare for me to hear the jets, let alone to actually see them flying. It was just such perfect timing that I couldn't help but believe it was Devine intervention. It brought tears to my eyes, and a prayer of thanks for the troops, past and present, who have sacrificed to give us freedom. Thank you for kindness. I look forward to celebrating this holiday season with my son, and will think of our troops, and offer up a prayer of gratitude each time I look at our tree. Merry Christmas, and God Bless you.
We want to send a huge thank you for such a wonderful tree. We know during this stressful economic time, you take the time & resources to think of us. From our family to yours, we are very grateful! Happy holidays to all.

Our first real Christmas tree! Thanks!
Dear Trees for Troops: I would like to thank you for the wonderful tree. My husband is deployed this year and will be missing Christmas. He also missed the birth of our first child and will be meeting her this Jan. 2012 once he is home. I just wanted to thank you and the Delp Tree Farm from St. Johns, KS which is where our Christmas tree is from. It is such a beautiful tree and we are so grateful that it was donated to us for our daughter's first Christmas. Without their generosity we would not have had a tree this year. Thank you so much and Merry Christmas!

Thank you so much for this Christmas tree. My husband is stationed at Nellis AFB and is currently deployed until this spring. My two children and I came to my home town of Rapid City, South Dakota to stay for the holidays while he is gone. We're staying with my grandmother who had given all her Christmas decor away. So without trees for troops we would not have had a Christmas tree this year. My kids eyes always light up when they look at it. Thank you so much.
We recently moved across the country (FL to NV) and really didn't think we'd have a tree this year. Thanks for the tree! It made our Christmas.
