The Christmas SPIRIT Foundation is the charitable branch of the National Christmas Tree Association. The Christmas SPIRIT Foundation is incorporated in the State of Missouri and has received IRS 501(c)3 charitable organization status.

The Christmas SPIRIT
For many, the Christmas season is an exciting, reverent time of the year. The Christmas Spirit derives from a combination of feelings, traditions and memories accumulated over the years. These may include family get togethers, candlelight worship service, the gleam in a child's eye at the sight of a gift or when they first select a gift to give. It may be the excitement of wrapping presents and putting them in that "secret place" or writing Christmas wish list letter to Santa. It might be the first snowfall of the season, friends gathering for the Christmas Eve service, a Christmas Day phone call with grandma or Salvation Army bell ringers.

For some, the Christmas season starts with Thanksgiving Day Christmas Parades, shopping the day after Thanksgiving and selecting the perfect Real Christmas Tree. It may include Making Christmas decorations, making Christmas cookies, hearing Little Drummer Boy for the first time this season or working in a soup kitchen.

Our Focus & Themes
The Christmas SPIRIT Foundation is committed to keeping the spirit of Christmas alive and growing memories for the next generation of children and families.

To achieve our mission, we focus programs for children, families and the environment ... all designed to enhance the Christmas spirit.

Developing Programs

Having just formed in the Fall of 2005, we are developing programs that will best reach out and convey the Spirit of Christmas.

While we are still establishing our programs, we would like to share some of our potential projects.

With your donations, the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation will support children, families and the environment through the following projects:

Children

  • College Scholarships: Help Santa Find the Perfect Real Christmas Tree contest
  • Developing online curriculum for teachers
  • Contribute to camps that host underprivileged or ill children

Families

  • Hurricane Katrina Relief: providing assistance to family Christmas Tree Farms affected by the Hurricane
  • Real Christmas Trees for Troop Families
  • Contribute to family-oriented programs within local communities

Environment

  • Recycling programs, such as EARTH 911
